No, all beds will have standard linens provided and ready for you! We also supply bath towels and washcloths. However, you will need to bring your own beach towels for enjoying the sun and sand.
Yes! All kitchens in our rental properties are stocked with standard cookware, dishware, and flatware. If you find anything missing, please contact us, and we'll be happy to provide it. We do not supply specialty appliances such as air fryers or crockpots, but you're welcome to bring your own.
We provide starter supplies, including paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent (one load's worth), and bar soap. However, this limited supply may not last your entire stay. We recommend bringing extras or purchasing additional supplies from a nearby grocery store.
Some of our rentals include beach chairs and umbrellas, but most do not. You can check your rental listing on our website in your guest portal to see if these amenities are included. If they are not, you are welcome to bring your own. If you'd prefer to rent chairs and umbrellas from a third-party vendor, please contact us first to confirm whether your rental's HOA allows them.
Your guest portal will display unit-specific check-in instructions and any necessary access codes 30 minutes before your scheduled check-in time. Once received, you may proceed directly to your rental and begin your five-star stay! Check-in time is 4:00 PM CST or later on your arrival day. Late check-ins are no problem-we're available 24/7 if you need assistance.
Early check-ins are typically unavailable, as we need sufficient time to ensure your rental is in top condition. Unauthorized early check-ins may result in penalty fees.
Check out time is 10am on the day of your departure.
A full refund will be provided for cancelations occurring 31 days or more prior to the scheduled arrival date. Cancelations occurring 30-15 days prior to the scheduled arrival date will result in a refund of 50% of the cost of the booking. Cancelations made 14 days or fewer prior to the scheduled check-in date will result in forfeiture of the total cost of the reservation. Within 30 days of arrival, no changes to the dates of stay or property can be accommodated. However, additional nights can be added to your stay at any time.
All cancelations must be communicated in writing with the message stating that you understand you will be forfeiting your payment(s) when applicable.
Within 30 days of arrival: refunds for cancelations, changes, or shortened stays due to actual or anticipated hurricanes, tropical storms or other inclement weather will not be issued under any circumstances. Refunds for natural disaster damage that make the property un-occupiable will not be issued under any circumstances. Refunds for events that may render the unit, area and/or amenities unavailable (to include but not limited to; natural or man-made disaster, owner usage, technical glitch, maintenance, pandemic, endemic, travel bans, health concerns, state of emergencies, ordered evacuations, local venue closure, community amenity closure, beach closure and/or the property remaining as a RealJoy Vacations rental at the time of the guests stay) will not be issued under any circumstances.
WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU PURCHASE TRAVEL INSURANCE TO COVER ANY UNFORESEEN DIFFICULTIES OR EVENTS. However, even with purchased insurance, RealJoy Vacations will not offer any refunds. If insurance is purchased all claims must be filed with the respective insurance company and all reimbursement is subject to said company and the policy purchased.
Yes, the primary renter must be at least 25 years old. This policy does not apply to family groups traveling with children. Violations of this policy may result in eviction without a refund.
A small number of our rental properties include LSVs. If available, this will be noted in the rental listing. If an LSV is not included, please contact us before renting one from a third-party vendor, as some properties do not allow them. Please note that LSV's cannot be driven on any beaches in the area.
Dogs are not permitted on the beaches in Destin/Okaloosa County. However, you can visit the Nancy Weidenhamer Dog Park in Destin. The nearest pet-friendly beaches are in Pensacola.
RealJoy does not provide baby gear, but you are welcome to rent items from a local third-party provider and have them delivered to your rental on check-in day.
Absolutely! You'll need to arrange grocery delivery yourself, but deliveries can be sent directly to your rental during your stay.
No, daily housekeeping is not included during your stay.
Yes! Your guest portal will provide login details on your check-in day. Additionally, Wi-Fi information is displayed on a placard on the fridge.
Red Sky’s Trip Preserver travel insurance is designed for vacation rentals and helps protect your non‑refundable trip costs when unexpected events disrupt your plans. With this plan, you may be reimbursed for prepaid, non‑refundable rental payments if you have to cancel or interrupt your stay for a covered reason, such as illness or injury to you or a family member, certain weather events, or your vacation home becoming uninhabitable.
Trip Preserver also includes benefits for trip delays and missed connections, helping cover extra expenses like hotels and meals if your travel is delayed, plus coverage for emergency accident and sickness medical expenses and emergency medical evacuation while you are traveling. In addition, the plan offers protection for your belongings with coverage for baggage delay and for loss, theft, or damage to baggage and sporting equipment, up to the policy limits.

Some rentals require an additional parking fee at check-in, but most do not. Parking is typically included for up to two vehicles. Please check your rental listing on our website or in your guest portal for specific parking details.
Guests exceeding the allocated number of vehicles must find alternative parking. There are paid public parking lots in the Destin area where additional vehicles can be parked overnight, subject to availability.
Most resorts do not allow parking for trailers, RVs, or boats. Some homes in our rental program may accommodate them, but prior approval is required. If your rental cannot accommodate these vehicles, you may need to park them in a third-party lot.
Please contact us to discuss any gathering requests. Unauthorized parties or events are strictly prohibited and may result in eviction without a refund.
