Great house! One of the “rare” times when the photos actually look just like the home. Tons of room! Everyone had their own space and own bathroom which makes things much easier. Will definitely use agency again! Everything was within walking distance plus the use of a golf cart made it super easy for my elderly parents.

The house was just as pictured fit great for our family. However the trickery with the wristbands that are obviously an attraction for children and the hidden notice if all 12 bands weren’t present at time of check out then we would be billed 50 a PIECE was not appreciated. Other than that the house, and location was as pictured. Destin is called the destination for a reason.

Cute house in gated community. Well kept however I felt the cleaning service could have done better wiping doors. There was foundation and mascara on bathroom door. Dryer does not dry well at all. But that could be overlooked because the rest of the rental was kept up well with really comfortable furniture.

Our stay was lovely. We had one tiny issue (that wouldn’t have affected our stay at all but wanted to let management know as it could have been a safety issue in the future) and they were so prompt and fixed it immediately and did it while we were out (with our permission of course) and we didn’t even know they had been there. Then the most amazing part was the follow ups and the checking to see that we were doing ok and if we needed anything. Fabulous job in fact I said to my husband. If we buy a rental property this is the company I would want managing it! Really great work

Check in was super easy and it was a nice surprise to see a place that was as good or better than the photos. Lots of room and great amenities. The pool was not heated so we didn't use it (it was December). We did pay to use the golf cart and that was nice to just zip to the beach or around a little. We called maintenance once for a teeny tiny issue that wasn't urgent and they were on it so fast and so professional and followed up to make sure we were happy etc. I was so surprised. They also are great with texting so if you have any questions. you can just text and you will have an answer in like 5 minutes. All the beds were big and comfortable and the linens were good quality. The beach is super close (walkable) and there is a cafe at the end of the street (and a Dairy Queen \which was pleasing for the kiddos). The kitchen had all the utensils and small appliances. you would need (the only thing that might be helpful would be some form of tupperware type containers but thats only if you need to store something while you are there. You can tell the crew that maintains the building is on top of things. Greenest grass on the cul-de-sac. I would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay close to the beach. Nicely decorated, comfortable, and within walking distance to the beach and restaurants.
There is no private access to the beach thought, you have to walk a little further to the public beach access.
Overall we had a great time there.

We had a great stay at Penelope Palms! It was in a great location and walkable to the beach and restaurants. We were traveling with 2 families and it is a nice set up for privacy and plenty of room! We did have an issue with the garage door, but someone came and checked it out right away. The beach chairs were a little worn, but it was still nice to have them. The golf cart was well worth the up charge. We got great use out of the brand new grill. It was so nice to have the patio and a fenced yard. Overall clean and a great value.

How spacious the house was and how nicely decorated it was. A/C worked great and we all slept comfortably on the beds. The backyard and seating outside were nice to hang out at. The dryer took forever to dry clothes when we would wash our swim clothes. Might need to be looked at.

We really enjoyed our stay in Destin at this house. Everyone slept comfortably and we loved how clean and nicely decorated it was. It was really close to the public beach access so we didn’t have to drive or walk far. Highly recommend booking with RealJoy they were very responsive when had any questions via text. Couple days prior to arriving Real Joy reached out giving us a heads up the golf cart would be ready.
We arrived and there was no golf cart ready, spent 2hrs on the phone back and forth trying to figure out why golf cart was not present. Only to receive an email a little later stating there was no golf cart available. Then we spent another hr looking for a 3rd party golf cart. Which ended up being 3x more the price than we expected to pay in the first place.

Very nice property. Quiet neighborhood. Stayed here with adults and children. Loved the backyard for the kids. Easy access to public beach. Would recommend the private beach access- public can get crowded. Easy to shopping- restaurants. Only issue was dryer- poor drying and would not shut off. Golf cart was a plus except issue with lights at night. Let the property manager know about the issues I’m sure they will address them. I would recommend this property to all and will look forward to booking again.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. House was clean and in nice shape. It was about the right amount of space for 10 (4 adults, 5 teens, and one 5yr old)...located on a cul-de-sac that was pretty quiet. Hollywood Drive beach entrance is a 10-15 ish min walk...golf cart was great for hauling the gear and younger kid...we mainly hung out at the beach near the Hollywood Drive private entrance...closest parking for the cart after dropping everyone off is near Pompano Joe's, which is a 10 min walk via the beach. Parking in the public lot can be a bit of a cluster...people please know you can fit two golf carts in one parking spot! Washer and Dryer seemed to maybe need a tune up? Freezer leaked a bit (defrost drain is plugged?). RealJoy property managers were very quick to respond to any questions we had.

We recently stayed at Penelope Palms for baseball tournaments with two other families. The house was the perfect size for us all to have our own space yet enjoy a home life versus hotel life. With it being at the end of the Cul de sac, the kids were able to enjoy playing outside in the yard and neighborhood without worrying about cars. The beach was a good walking distance or golf cart ride away. We were able to enjoy the vacation scene and be 15min away from the ball field. The house had everything we needed and the owners were quick to reply if we had any questions. Highly recommend staying here if you’re in the area.

This property was a great place to make memories with my family. The house was in great shape. We had a problem with the gas grill, we called and they brought out a brand new one the next morning! They were prompt on any questions or concerns. The beach was beautiful for all ages. The neighborhood was quite which made sitting in the back yard relaxing great. Nice place. Lots of space. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, cooking utensils, coffee maker, etc. (even a pod coffee maker). We brought the other essentials (more toilet paper, soap, dishwashing soap, paper towels, etc.). Management was quick to respond when we needed them. Golf cart was a great add on, we used it everyday. Lots of beach chairs and some toys for the kids. Beach wagon was nice to have. Walking to and from the beach was not bad (some of our family chose to do it). Would rent this house again.

Absolutely perfect. We loved the location, the house, the golf cart, and most of all the responsiveness of the owners/managers. We communicated prior to our arrival to ensure the corn hole birds were available for use and they said he’s. However they were not there when we arrived. I messaged the managers just to ensure they knew and we weren’t liable. The managers brought us brand new boards! It was amazing and very thoughtful! The house is GORGEOUS and very spacious! Perfect for 3 families including kids. We can’t wait to book again in the future.

Perfect Place! This place is a beautiful 4 bedroom Home that is located right next to the beach, it's a 2 Min drive on the golf cart, and 5 Minute walk. We stayed here for 6 Days and it was perfectly located to all the local shops that are accessible by Golf Cart or walking. Highway 98 is right behind it so you can go shopping at all the outlets and malls and food places. There is a ton of extra curricular stuff all around, boat rentals at Crab Island, Arcades, Racetracks and anything you can think of it's available in this area. The decor is the place was wonderful and gave that nice ocean vibe. Back porch sitting area has a nice little fireplace that came in very handy as it was in the 60's when we stayed. This place came with everything. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Incredible place to stay! The house was beautiful! All we had hoped for and more! The golf cart made the trip to the beach very easy. It would be hard to walk that far carrying all your beach things. Would rent this house again in a heartbeat!

I never received my access code after multiple calls I still wasn’t able to contact anyone. By this time I am extremely upset because we arrived at the property and me and my family had to wait some hours before we finally connected to real joy and we was granted access. The property was gorgeous and very clean which made up for the communication issues.

For starters, this home is beautiful and comfortable! Great neighborhood that is secluded and quiet, but not far from the beach and restaurants! Each room was big and all of the furniture was cozy. There was plenty of towels, bedding and cook wear. In my opinion, the pictures don't do justice to the house. I would highly recommend this home to host your family for vacation.

We loved our stay at Penelope Palms. The layout of the home was ideal. Plenty of space in the living area for all to gather, hang out and play games. Very clean and well kept. The washing machine was nice and big! The only recommendation we had was that we wished there was a vacuum to help keep the floors clean. There was no dust pan either. We swept the floors every day....but it would have been much easier if we had access to a vacuum cleaner. Otherwise, the house had everything we needed. Would highly recommend and we would definitely stay again.

Our stay at Penelope was amazing. We enjoyed it so much it literally felt like our home away from home. Management made it so easy from the moment of booking, until the very last minute of our stay. They made sure to provide all information needed to access the home with no trouble, the best part was that they were super responsive when a question was asked. The actual property was, magnificent. It was so beautiful, we were memorized when we first opened the door. It was eight of us ladies, and we had a blast when glam hour came around. We had plenty of bathroom space. Another was that no one had to fight for a bed,and after a nine hour drive from Houston we were WINNING so that was a big plus! The kitchen MUST be used!! We had breakfast twice, as well as dinner. It would've been wrong if we didn't utilize that beautiful space. BIG PLUS... It perfectly equipped! The only bump was we didn't find a wine opener.. lol (no big deal) Neighborhood felt safe, and the beach was extremely close! I would definitely recommend to stay at Penelope Palms. Thank you for making our "Girls Trip" worth the drive!

This is a beautiful house with all the amenities you would have in your own home. You will be as impressed as we were. Fully stocked and very comfortable. The location is only a few minutes walk from the beach. The pool was cold though when we tried to use it. It was not at the 84 degrees that they said t would. The facilities are nice but they started the sprinkle system while we were there and the smell was so bad we had to leave! It seems they use sewage water. It would also be nice if RealJoy answers their phones a little bit quicker. I was on hold for more than half an hour when I called to get the code to the golf cart which was not part of the codes we received at check in even though it was included in our reservation. We eventually got the keys and where able to use the golf cart for the last two days of our stay.

We had a group of 10, and everyone had their own bed/couch! Everything is well thought out here and we instantly felt at home. We cooked in the kitchen, used the golf cart and lawn games and otherwise made full use of the space. I wish we could have stayed longer. Everyone was very impressed, and we got a much higher value than if we had booked individual hotel rooms.

The stay was exceptional! Upon arrival to this beautiful home, (just as pictured) we had a welcome by a very courteous service man who explained a great part of the house to us. The house was clean and very comfortable (home away from home). We enjoyed the entire trip, from check in to check out. The house was in a great location, we had access to the beach ( we had to walk a little way), the pool, restaurants, and close to shopping. The children were able to go to nearby activities. The host was easy to get to and help if needed. This would be a place that we would stay again.

What a fabulous home! The decor was so classy, I got some ideas for my own home! The space and functionality of the home for our family, was spot on! Our kids so enjoyed the bunk room! We loved cooking meals in the beautiful kitchen and enjoyed big family dinners together at the table. We also loved having the golf cart to discover some of our new favorite seafood spots (Pompano Joe's and Crab Trap to name a few), or head down to the beach and relax! The neighborhood pool was also relaxing for the adults and fun for the kids. I will definitely be recommending this to my family and friends for future beach vacations. Can't wait to get back here!

This was a trip with our children and two grandchildren. We enjoyed our stay very much, and highly recommend the home. We have rented in FL several times, but this is by far our favorite - great customer service, and the home was well stocked with everything we needed. We loved the beautiful decor, great bedroom and bathroom space, and plenty of parking for us. The location to beach and shopping is super convenient, and we had a lot of fun taking the golf cart to the beach and out for our ice cream trips at night. Pompano Joe's has great beach access and the beach bar and dinner there was awesome! We also enjoyed hanging out at the neighborhood pool. We will definitely stay at this home again!
