The snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Seahorse Reef, deployed in 2017. Located just 715 feet out from the Topsail Hill Preserve State Park access, it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Seahorse Reef is at a depth of 13-18 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. The place was beautiful and loved the use of the golf cart. When we arrived at the house, at 4:00 check in, it had not been thoroughly serviced . We contacted the host and they were very responsive and had us leave and come back to allow the cleaning service to complete the cleaning. We had left a few items on the kitchen counter and spoke to the cleaning crew as we were leaving and told them to not discard the items on counter as they were ours. However, they discarded our items about $55 worth of bug spray, sunblock, and batteries. The host did comp us the monetary amount for all our troubles. Despite the early hiccups, we had an absolutely fabulous time. The place was clean and very spacious with tall ceilings and nicely appointed. It was quiet and loved seeing wildlife out back porches (deer, squirrels and even an armadillo). We would definitely stay he again and would recommend this place to others. We absolutely loved our stay at Time Out #126 in Dune Allen off 30A! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a spotless, welcoming space that felt both luxurious and comfortable. The décor is coastal and inviting, with every detail thoughtfully designed to make guests feel at home. The location close to the beach and all the charm of 30A, yet tucked away enough to enjoy peace and relaxation.The kitchen was fully stocked, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the entire home was perfect. We LOVED staying here for our Spring Break! The house is amazing, great layout for our family of 4 and in-laws, 4 different porches for hanging out, awesome community pool, hot tub and gym, really enjoyed the golf cart and bikes. Is there beach access from the community...no...but the golf cart made getting to the beaches easy, and the "secret" close access about a mile away was never crowded. We had a blast adventuring to Seaside and Grayton for sunsets and if we wanted to see lots of other people, but mostly we chilled at the neighborhood pool and house, went to the close beach, and just RELAXED. Awesome kitchen for cooking, groceries close by, restaurants if you don't want to cook. Great communication from RealJoy, and with sugar sand beaches and clear gulf water like that, we'd love to come back.- Reviewed On: 4/18/2025

Loved our stay at Time Out. The house is beautiful and worked perfect for our family of 5. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and golf cart rides to the beach. Loved the back porch with a TV to hang out together as a family after a day at the beach or pool, and to enjoy coffee and breakfast in the morning. The kitchen has everything we needed. Time Out is located in a beautiful neighborhood with lots of amenities. The house itself was laid out nicely and worked well for our family of 4 + 2 grandparents. There is a master on the first floor and 2 upstairs bedrooms with a loft/play room that has a door. The host is very responsive to requests- we had issues with trying to lock the doors and getting access to the golf cart and got quick responses. I would alert you that you need to specifically ask for golf cart instructions prior to arriving. You will need to pay a deposit and sign a liability agreement. It was disappointing that even after being proactive and completing this prior to our arrival, we still had to ask for the instructions on getting the key for the golf cart. We were very happy with the house because it was very clean, well decorated, and a well stocked kitchen. The house and the beautiful community far exceeded our expectations and it was a wonderful experience to have a golf cart and bicycles available at the property. The tennis court and pickleball was used daily. The beach access was a golf cart ride away with white sand and beautiful, clear ocean. The amenities were all used and enjoyed with our family of five. This is the second time we’ve stayed at Time Out and we have loved it! Cypress Dunes is our favorite place with so much to do in community and a short ride to beach access. We’ve stayed in the community a few years now, and have booked this house with Real Joy the past 2 years and will continue to. The perfect house with golf cart included makes it so easy to get around to places in community. Real Joy has been great both times too. Perfect Home
This home is just as described: clean, comfortable, and well appointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our week’s stay. Love that the property had bicycles and a golf cart available. This house is beautiful! The location is definitely on the quieter side of 30A (which is why we picked it) and we loved how calm and peaceful the neighborhood was. The amenities are awesome and we loved that the closest beach was not crowded and much calmer than the others I've visited in the area. We had the best stay! How was amazing & had everything we needed & more. Very clean & spacious beautiful home. After the initial issues with the cleaning crew, we had a near perfect stay! The home is beautifully appointed with high end finishes that will make you feel at home. The property with furnished decks bikes and golf cart made for an all-around enjoyable experience. The infinity pool and gym were used every day. Finally we would highly suggest avoiding the public beach and utilizing Topsail Hill State Park and the tram. From the short golf cart drive, we had flawless beach views with no crowds versus the madness down the road!

We loved our time here! The house and neighborhood are beautiful. The cypress swamp behind the property was a huge plus. We loved sitting on the screened porch in the evenings, listening to all the nature sounds. There are multiple beaches a short bike or golf cart ride away. The house is even more beautiful in person than in the photos. The backyard is a nature area and we saw deer each morning and evening. The home is equipped with a golf cart that you can take down 30a for shopping, dining, and quite beach access. We loved our escape to 30A and RealJoy's Time Out rental. The house was beautiful, felt clean yet cozy, and provided a relaxing space for us to come home to each day. The facilities at Cypress Dunes is amazing and we were happy to have access to the pool, spa, and fitness facilities every day. Lovely home and location around the 30A area. We loved the private feel of the neighborhood but could get to any of the prime spots within 15 mins.

Loved this place and would for sure stay again. Great location and amenities. Golf cart was a must have to get to the beach with your gear. The house was larger than it looked with lots of space. Kitchen was well stocked with great cooking utensils. Home was well decorated with comfy beds and bedding.

Absolutely loved the place. Great host and business which were quick to respond. The house is gorgeous and we love the community that is there. The one and only gripe I have with the place is that there is a $500 extra refundable fee for the golf cart. Didn’t really make sense but rather than that we were extremely happy with the price, location, host, house, and community. My family and I really enjoyed our time here - the house was nice and super comfortable. While Rosemary and Seaside and all that you think of with 30A is still about 45 to an hour away depending on traffic, Santa Rosa was lovely and the beaches were beautiful. Topsail was a particular favorite and the bikes were perfect for getting there. As others said, we also had the pool to ourselves a lot, which was really nice. Beautifully furnished with lots of extras. Hair dryer and iron were included even though they were not listed as being included on the “what to bring, what not to bring” email. Had a few issues with a ceiling fan cap falling and a water leak from the master bath, but they were addressed within 24 hours. They weren’t major and didn’t affect us. Pool was great given the fact that beaches had double red flags during most of our stay. Beaches were a bit farther and harder to access than we thought and we weren’t sure if we could take the golf cart that far so we didn’t get to use it much. Bikes were nice but since there were 5 of us, it would have been really nice to have the option to add another. Beds were softer than we are used to, but that’s just a personal preference. Time Out could actually easily sleep 7, but reservations are limited to 6. All and all, it was a wonderful stay.- Reviewed On: 6/24/2023

This place was a hidden gem. We looked at so many rentals and this one stood out. Peaceful and private! There are neighbors but the woods in the back is so peaceful and beautiful. I loved laying on the hammock and listening to music.

The neighborhood is great, the pool is amazing. We went to the pool a few times, quiet and not that many people there. Sometimes we had the whole pool/place to ourselves. It was right by the main strip so easy to get everywhere and also right on the 30A to go visit the other shore towns. The home is absolutely beautiful and we will definitely return if we don’t end up buying a place ourselves. The house and neighborhood amenities were perfect! The amenities provided in the house I felt were a little sparse for staying 7 nights. The distance to the beach was a little farther than I thought, I would recommend having a car at this location but the golf cart was perfect for getting to and from the beach. I would not recommend driving any further on 30a than Blue Mountain on the golf cart and that felt like a stretch. If you’re looking for a relaxing time in peaceful surroundings away from the hustle and bustle, this is the place! We swam, played Pickleball and rode the bikes to Top Sail Preserve and had a great time! My husband loved waking up every morning to the deer right behind the house.
