First, let me say that usually I think the photos make the house look much better than it actually is. However, this was not the case this time. At 250 Miami, the photos did not do the house justice. The house was spacious, clean, had lovely linens on the beds and a fantastic workable kitchen. We were nine people and we cooked all of our meals at the house. There was a Webber grill which we used every night. The house is a short walk from the beach, the cutest coffee shop and a great ice cream shop. I suggest doing your shopping at Winn-Dixie, which is just a mile and a half down the road and has pretty good prices. The pool is a quick walk around the corner and a good size. We drove so we brought our beach wagon, chairs etc. But if you don’t wanna bring those things, you can get an umbrella with two chairs on the beach for $65 a day.

We very much enjoyed our stay the month of February! The home is so spacious and nicely decorated, clean too! Real Joy checked in on us a couple of times just to make sure if we needed anything. We cooked many meals at the home and also used the new gas grill. Kitchen was well stocked but I did bring a crockpot from home. Lovely gated neighborhood to take walks in too. Would definitely stay in this home again!!

Great place our happy place in Destin was so nice and clean would not stay anywhere else

We had to change our plans to stay near Tampa because of the hurricanes, and the Destin/Miramar Beach area was highly recommended. We had never been there before, but after reading the Happy Place description and reviews and looking at the pictures, we decided to try it. We were not disappointed. The house was in a perfect location for us to walk to and from the beach every day. The sunsets, sunrises and daytime experiences on the beach were phenomenal! The house is beautiful and equipped as described. We also enjoyed being in between Seaside and Destin and drove to these locations and along 30A often. Shopping was easy to access for groceries and beach supplies. The house accommodated our family perfectly! Everyone said it would be a place we would like to visit again. Thank you for helping us to have the ultimate beach vacation!

We had a wonderful family gathering at the Happy Place! The close proximity to Miramar Beach, Seaside, Destin and other beaches makes it a very desirable location. We walked to the beach every day and loved watching the sunrises and sunsets. The security of gated HOA was a nice bonus.

Great house! We’ve been coming to Destin and the beaches of South Walton for years. The house was perfect for our stay with six adults. The house is very spacious which makes it very comfortable. Everyone felt like they could spread out which was nice. We would have loved having a golf cart, as the walk from the house to the sand was a little over eight minutes. Not a bad walk at all, but could have made it nicer. The only slight inconveniences that did not mess up our stay but need a little attention are: the kitchen could use more cup towels oven mitts and/or hot pads. Some of the light fixtures and cans need replacement bulbs.

Great location! The private beach access was great! We rented a golf cart for easy access to get around. I wish I would have understood what was included in the starter pack so I could have been better prepared. There were no hot pads in the kitchen which was inconvenient when cooking. The propane tank on the grill was less than half full, the igniter didn’t work had to manually light it, and the knobs were falling off. Other than that, it was a great location and would stay here again!

This was my first stay in an Air BnB and I was very hesitant but Im glad I did. Our stay was very enjoyable! The house is simply beautiful and spacious! We didn’t have any issues but Realjoy was readily available to us and checked in daily via text.

Location was perfect!! Close to restaurants/shops/ and the beach. We rented a golf cart to get around and that worked great! The private beach access was very convenient! The house was perfect for our family of 11 and accommodated everyone comfortably. I should have asked what the starter pack consisted of exactly to better understand what I needed to bring/purchase. The only critique is that the kitchen was not stocked with hot pads and the propane grill was borderline non-usable (igniter button didn’t work, grill knobs falling off, propane tank ran out after 10 min of use). Other than that we loved Our Happy Place and Miramar Beach! Will definitely book again in the future!

We were impressed with how spacious & clean the home was. As we opened the front door we were greeted with soft jazz music which was a nice touch. Loved that this home came with two Master Suites. There were plenty of kitchen utensils & amenities provided. The beds were very comfortable. Would have been nice if all the rooms had room darkening curtains. It was nice to have a private beach entrance across the street about a 3-5 mts walk. My family enjoyed the restaurants and Destin’s beautiful beaches. Would definitely stay at My Happy Place again.

My first impression of the home was that there is so much room! Every room was easy to move around in, even the bathrooms and closets. It smelled like new. It was the perfect size for our party of 8. Conveniently located near a coffee shop, restaurant, and surf shop.I wish the street the house was on had sidewalks. The area is busy, so we had to step into yards and driveways when there was traffic until we could get to the main road. I suggest bringing extra soap and toilet paper.

House was just as described in listing and by the pictures. This was some of my family's first time in an Airbnb and it did not disappoint This is a great house for a large family. The property is in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood and provides easy access to all local shopping and dining destinations and private beach access was just a short walk away. The house was beautiful and very clean. The walk to the beach was peaceful and easy. Local coffee shop right around the corner. We had an issue with the dryer and they were quick to try to fix it. Plenary of dishes and cooking supplies. Big fridge and pantry. I would 100% recommend this house and RealJoy to anyone. I can’t wait to stay here again!

Very nice property! Our family thoroughly enjoyed! Our only had a couple of issues. The freezer went out and we weren't aware of it until after grocery shopping. We a few items that melted/ ruined. We also love to cook breakfast a few nights while vacationing! Definitely need to bring pots, and pans/ sheet pans! Otherwise it was well equipped and location was perfect!

Property was spacious and clean. Furniture and TV were nice. Very limited on baking and cooking tools and pans. For example, there was no cookie sheet. There was something in the description that gave the impression we were within a fairly easy walk to the beach. But, Miami St. gate was not open to us and we needed to walk another block down to Hollywood St. Long walk just getting to Scenic Drive. The bunk bed room sleeping was difficult for larger adult children. Might be fine for little kids, but quite uncomfortable otherwise. We enjoyed our stay but wanted to provide valuable feedback. The house was great and the configuration of bedrooms was good. The floors under the bed and dressers hadn’t been swept in a while but otherwise it was clean. Great KitchenAid appliances and we especially appreciated having a gas grill outside.

Fabulous vacation home! We had 8 adults and 4 kids in our group and had PLENTY of room! House was very clean and well taken care of. The walk to beach access was a bit longer than we had expected, but manageable. Carrying chairs, boogie boards, ice chests, etc was a tad complicate, but would NOT hinder us from staying her again! If you plan on cooking or meal prepping for lunch, we would highly recommend picking up a few staples on your first grocery trip such as paper towels, toilet paper, dishwashing tabs (only 3 provided) and trash bags(only 3 provided). Overall, it was PERFECT for our "framily" trip!

Our family of 7 stayed at this property for 5 days, and it was beautiful. It was spacious and had plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. The kitchen and living area are much larger than they appear in photos. It was about a 0.4 mile walk to the beach, which was a bit more than we were expecting. But, the beach was beautiful with perfectly clear water. The only complaint that we would have was that there was minimal toilet paper, no trash bags, and there were no beach chairs to take with you. It was a great property, but you should bring those things with you! We will definitely be back!

My family and I had a great vacation. The house was down the street from the beach (walking distance). This was super convenient when you have toddlers. Also there was a lot of food and shopping locations no more than 10-15 mins away.

This was our first time in Destin and the property we stayed at was perfect for our family. We had eleven family members and the layout could not have been better for the group. Our check-in was a briefly delayed due to a computer glitch but other than that the house was great. The houses on either side of us were college kid groups. The house directly to the south was very close but the group was quiet and nice. The group to the north got loud and obnoxious with graphic language but shortly after it started someone shut them down like right now. I was VERY happy to see that kind of behavior was not tolerated and we didn't have any further problems. There were a couple of maintenance items that being minor didn't need to be taken care of right away, but would be good for the next guest. The walk to the beach is not that bad. We used a couple of collapsible wagons to haul gear to the beach. It would be more convenient to be able to use the Miami St gate to the beach than the Hollywood St gate, however. All in all, a very nice property!

Our Happy Place made us extremely Happy!!!. We had more then enough kitchen utensils, plates, cups, pots, and pans and all of the restrooms were filled with plenty towels for the entire stay. Our only complaint was the air in the downstairs bedroom and the room with the bunk beds It stayed warm the entire stay. If at all possible please keep a mobile fan in the closet for guest who may get hot or over heated. Also keeping the temp set at 70 as stated on the wall while cooking is very hard to do, it gets hot as soon as you cut the burners or oven on. Other than the air in those 2 areas and while cooking, everything was beautiful. our stay was wonderful. We will definitely be back.

Our house was beautiful and very clean. We had 2 families with 8 kids ranging in age from 6 months to 11 years and we had plenty of space. The fenced in backyard is a great size and the kids loved the pool. We only received our door code and needed the gate code, pool code, etc but a quick call to the property manager and we had a text sent in seconds with everything we needed. Our family usually rents in HHI and decided to give Destin a try. We would definitely stay here again!
