Leeward Key offers great amenities for the whole family! There are two pools with gated access, both landscaped with tropical foliage, and one is heated and located right on the beach! The complex has 3 grills guests can use- two gas grills and one charcoal grill. Whether you spend your day floating on the waves of the Gulf just steps away, lounging in the calm waters overlooking the white sand and emerald water, or lazing in the more protected pool on the north side of the complex, you are sure to love this complex. Leeward Key is also a non-smoking facility. There's a fitness room onsite, as well as a vending room for a late-night snack run. The laundry facility is located in the condo. Leeward Key offers all you could want for a fantastic beach vacation!

Close by is Destin Commons, a beautifully landscaped, pedestrian-friendly area and a great family venue where children will love to play in the interactive water fountains. Also for the younger guests, a nautically/pirate themed outdoor playground features a 1,750 square foot soft play area with various creatures from the sea, slides, and a treasure chest! Destin Commons also has a mini-train for the kids. Destin Commons features over 75 shops and restaurants.
If you are near Miramar Beach, the snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Dolphin Reef, deployed in 2017. Located just 685 feet straight out from the Miramar Regional Public Beach access (by Pompano Joe's), it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Dolphin Reef is at a depth of 12-20 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy!

Real joy responded quickly to the issues. There were a few insignificant issues I noticed, ie. broken end table , ripped bed skirt broken hair dryer. Some updates and repairs were needed in the unit. Overall I loved Destin and hope to return again. Thank you for working out a late check out so there wasn’t such a large gap between our flight departure and check out.- Posted: 4/28/2025

Great place Great Location
The pictures don’t do the place justice were the first words out of my wife and daughter’s mouth. The property was clean and ready when we arrived. All amenities worked and basic necessities were adequate. Great location and had everything we needed
We stay in Leeward Key all the time. We had not stayed in this unit yet, but it was just as nice as others we have stayed in. Love the 2nd floor as you can avoid the elevator. It comes with 2 rental chairs. This would be the one downside of most of these rentals is lack of other beach chairs and beach towels. When flying I can't bring chairs and towels take up so much room. Fortunately my parents were in another unit and drove so they were able to bring some stuff down for us. Beds were comfortable. We did have to use the pull out couch so maybe a set of bunk beds or queen beds in the 2nd bedroom would allow more sleeping space, but it's not a deal breaker. Plenty of bathroom towels and kitchen was fairly well equipped. Could use some additional knives. I would definitely stay here again.- Posted: 4/21/2025

We really enjoyed our vacation at Leeward Key! The location was great, it was convenient to walk to great restaraunts. Beach was nice, we loved having chair service included with the condo. The pools were also really nice. The only upgrade I would suggest is better beds, the king slopes a little to the middle, but we slept fine.- Posted: 7/12/2024

Great Getaway

Great place to stay with a family and great location to the beach
We really enjoyed how convenient it was to have the private beach access. Access to the 2 pools, the beach, and the fitness center were all great perks and very appealing. Perfect location, in a peaceful area and just steps away from the beach. Set up at beach was nice and not crowded, which allowed a nice view. All of the staff on site were friendly and host was very responsive, in a timely manner. Walking distance to a few nice restaurants. The inside was very nice and clean, with a homey atmosphere. The property was beautiful and very clean. It was a huge bonus that beach service was included! The walk to the beach wasn’t bad at all and for those wondering there weren’t many steps and not as terribly steep as some. We typically stay beachfront and not across the road, however, it was still beautiful. Amazing location
You couldn’t ask for a better location. Less than 5 minute walk to the beach. 15 minute drive to Harborwalk Village and Marina for fun activities. 15 minute drive to a grocery store but found out that the local DG (which is walking distance) carry food too. Excellent stay!!
I've been to the Destin area several times; this condo was the best by far! The company was extremely helpful and super easy to work with. Condo was immaculate and very up to date. Location, location, location!! Literally steps to beach. Wonderful quiet area for family. Walking distance to several nice restaurants. Beach was uncrowded, and we even had free chairs and umbrella Included. We will definitely stay here again. It was absolutely perfect. Closest place to being literally on the beach you'll find. I was very pleased with our stay; everything from check-in to departure was smooth and easy. The location was top notch- just steps across the street to the beach. My kids enjoyed having 2 options when it came to the pools. The room was clean, unlike some of the other reviews stated. The place wasn’t super up to date as far as decor and paint, but who really cares??? It was perfectly fine for us. The bathrooms were nice and spacious and I enjoyed having the big window (with gliding rocker) in the master bedroom looking out at the water. My kids ate breakfast on the balcony and people watched every morning. :) I have absolutely no complaints about this unit and would definitely return.- Posted: 6/24/2022

Great location for ocean view right across from the beach
Excellent central location for beach oriented vacation. Second floor condo means you don’t have to use the elevator and can opt to walk up flight of stairs. You still have a good view of the ocean and are mere steps from private access to the beach and one of two pools. There are two restaurants right next to the property. The entire area is very pedestrian traffic friendly. The property itself was well appointed, clean and maintained. I would definitely stay here again.- Posted: 3/23/2022

We are happy to know that you had an overall great stay and were pleased with the property, location, beach, spacious parking, and available elevators. We strive to resolve any issues or answer any questions that are brought to our attention in a timely manner. Normally an email is sent to renters on the day of arrival that includes such information as door codes, gate codes, and parking rules. Housekeeping provides only a certain amount of such items as paper towels, toilet paper, and dish detergent. Guests must provide additional products for their stay.
