Edgewater on Miramar Beach is an architectural masterpiece that rises up in a step-like fashion to nineteen stories in height with open-ended terraces. The entire crescent-shaped building wraps around lagoon-shaped swimming pools and hot tubs that glisten beside the gulf. The Edgewater grounds extend from the building towards the sugar white sands with expansive lush lawns accented with towering palms and other tropical plants. There is also a seasonal Tiki Bar and Grill that is open in the Spring and Summer. Edgewater is also within walking distance to popular local restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping at Silver Sands Premium Outlet and Grand Boulevard.

Area Attractions:

Edgewater Beach Condominium offers a unique and breathtaking view of beautifully landscaped grounds and the emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Edgewater surrounds you in a relaxing family atmosphere and is located in the Sandestin-Miramar Beach area midway between Seaside and Destin and across the street from the Silver Sands Outlet Mall. Southern Living magazine's 2005 Readers' Choice Awards ranked Destin, Florida, the number one 'Beach Town/Resort,' and the number three 'Family Vacation' destination.

Grand Boulevard Town Center is a pedestrian-friendly, shopping and dining complex just off Emerald Coast Parkway, convenient to both SanDestin and Miramar Beach. For the high-end shopper, the center offers everything from Fusion Art Glass Gallery to Brooks Brothers Country Club. A number of boutiques, such as Hello, Sunshine and Magnolia House, carry fare you can't find anywhere else. Dining options include Mitchell's Fish Market, P. F. Chang's China Bistro, and Cantina Laredo Gourmet Mexican Food. In 2013, Walton County’s first movie theater opened at Grand Boulevard’s Town Center – the state-of-the-art Boulevard 10 Movie Theater.

If you are near Miramar Beach, the snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Dolphin Reef, deployed in 2017. Located just 685 feet straight out from the Miramar Regional Public Beach Access (by Pompano Joe's), it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Dolphin Reef is at a depth of 12-20 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy!

Responsive host; great location - near tons of shops and restaurants; beautiful beach; helpful to have sand toys to use.
A couple of things to note:
Only vehicles below 6 ft can park in the garage. We had to park outside of the garage - we never had trouble finding a spot, but we went in the "off-season", so that may have been easier for us.
The beach chairs and umbrellas set up by the resort are not available to "airbnb-ers" like they are to residents. It's almost $60 to rent 2 chairs/umbrella for the day, and you can't bring your own.
No beach towels to use, so you'll need to bring or buy your own.
The place is neat and clean, and the location is awesome, but the condo itself is very 1990s. Feels dated, but is comfortable!

If you are looking for a place to stay that is right on the beach that is clean and quiet this is where you want to stay. The location of Edgewater is absolutely the best!! This unit looked just like the photos. The kitchen was stocked with absolutely everything you would need, having an ice maker and washer and dryer AND FANTASTIC WATER PRESSURE was icing on the cake! The beds were very comfortable, no issues there! Plenty of closet space, the bathrooms were great size and clean! Everything was clean and the unit smelled great when you walk in. The elevators were clean, the trash shoots outside the units were nice! There is plenty of parking under the condos the keep your car out of the sun, parking in shaded spaces were never an issue! The beach, OMG, I have never seen a beach as pretty and clear as this! Way past your head, is still clear as can be! This area was very safe, clean and had a grocery store across the street and lots of restaurants! We will be back!!!

The Best Stay

We had the best time staying here! Our family of five couldn't have been happier with the location to the beach and loved the pool being right there close to the beach! All three of our children were able to sleep in the same bedroom which has never happened. They are usually split up. But their bedroom slept four, and they all slept so well in there. The washer and dryer made mama happy. And, the many palm trees located throughout the resort made us all happy, too! Would definitely stay here again!

Few Adjustments

Overall my stay was as described. Incredible views, clean room and plenty of room for lounging. I did not like the fact that we couldn't watch tv as far as local news and weather we had to watch some sort of streaming, which not everyone has. The only other criticism would be not having any seasonings or spices. I get no condiments but when we are spending 400-500 for food for the week, it sucks that we have to buy spices and that includes salt and pepper which they didn't even have. Had to make a second trip to the grocery store to get something to add to our food when cooking. The door in the living room going out to the patio is extremely hard to open. I understand that they are hurricane doors but I had to get up every time my kids wanted to go out or come in. Other than those few things, I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend.
