Destin West Gulfside #212

We stayed at the Destin West Resort in Gulfside 212. Our room was clean, super spacious, had views of the gulf, and fully equipped with everything necessary. RealJoy answered any questions we had promptly and effectively. I would 100% recommend booking with RealJoy vacations and I will be doing so in the future.

We stay the month of November so it’s very peaceful and quite there during that time. The recliner was a plus and the reason I picked this room for comfort. Pool was so warm used it almost every day. So was the hot tub. Big and roomy.

The space was set up very nicely and felt cozy yet we were not crowded. Being able to use the pools at both locations was wonderful! The property management was extremely polite, helpful, and fast acting. They checked in very often & made us feel like they truly cared about our experience. The condo is nicely decorated, had the kitchen items we needed, & felt comfortable. The full size refrigerator was very helpful having a large family. The breakfast table & bar stools were adequate along with the patio set. I appreciated the hangers in the guest closet. The pillows were great quality & comfort. Simple things like the nightlights & touch lamp were greatly appreciated! The washer/dryer was a great size & convenient. (The washer softener dispenser needs a good cleaning) I was grateful for the broom being in an accessible closet so I could keep the floors mess free. -For future guests I'd suggest a map of the grounds with directions to the pedestrian bridge, beach, etc. The signs were good, but a map would really help some. -the master bedroom cable box was inoperable due to payment or something. The staff tried to handle the situation in a timely matter, but it did not get sorted within our stay. The property management company was phenomenal. -the sofa bed was missing all the spring attachments at the head causing me to fall & injuring my arm & shoulder. My children had to sleep across in order to safely use the bed. -the sliding doors were extremely difficult to lock -the refrigerator was hard to open and would move out of its spot when trying to open the door. -there were items and a tv on the floor in the guest bedroom closet so we weren't able to put our stuff in there to keep the area clear. There was also some items in a corner in the master bedroom. I put stuff around it just to be sure no kids were able to mess with it. -the guest bathroom sink was clogged and extremely slow to drain -the floors were dirty despite looking clean. Our feet & socks were black from the dirt so we wore shoes inside. -just FYI: the vanity lights in the master bathroom flicker a lot *nothing that would truly cause us not to be back though! Possibly the sofa bed only because it's a safety issue with my children. -Check in: It would have been helpful to have instructions on where to park & how to get to the room. Perhaps mention the stairs from the parking garage. We had a lot to bring in & would've liked to use a cart, but was unable to. We did enjoy the condo & amenities despite the issues. Again...not super major issues that would cause me to not return as it did not fully hinder our stay just giving feedback that would hopefully be taken into consideration to be addressed!

We loved the condo and location! The pools are great. The Bay Area is beautiful! Nothing to do with Booking.com…The only thing that was a concern for me was the cleanliness. After a long drive, I went to shower. The master bedroom tile and ceiling are terribly mildewed and there was splashes of a gold colored soap on the walls of the shower. Walked from shower to kitchen, to living room and sat down. I put my feet up and they were black! The floors were filthy. My daughter wore socks because she was so grossed out. It doesn’t have oven mitts. Something I didn’t think to bring. We cooked a lot. Other than that everything was wonderful! I would book again!!!

Great vacation and great location. No major issues. Wish the internet was better. When you offer WiFi, please make sure people are able to at least work while using it. Half the time the tv and internet was out.

Beautiful and comfortable. Conveniently located near the main destination area but just out of the busy traffic! Rental included beach service and access to multiple pools. Lack of items like garbage bags and toilet paper but many stores close enough to purchase!

We just stayed 3/4-3/11 in 212 on the Gulf side. This Condo was everything we wanted! Fit my family of 6 comfortably (could use one more chair at the table). The amenities were great (soaps, shampoo/conditioner, plenty of towels). It was clean and wonderful! The view was perfect seeing both the pool and ocean. We will definitely come back!
