Welcome to Sandpiper PH01, which overlooks the Choctawhatchee Bay and the Gulf of Mexico! This is a spacious penthouse 1BR/2BA condo at the complex within Destin West Beach and Bay Resort with a charming vintage musical theme. The unit features a king bed in the master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, a bonus bunk nook with a twin over a twin bunk bed, and a living room sleeper sofa to comfortably sleep up to 6 guests. For your convenience, there is a washer and dryer in the unit. Take a relaxing soak in the jetted tub on the rooftop balcony while enjoying the beautiful surrounding views of the gulf and the bay. Snowbird Season runs from November thru February. For a quote, select an arrival date (must be the 1st day of the month) and a departure date (must be the 1st day of a subsequent month). Contact us for alternate date requests and further assistance! All monthly rentals are subject to an additional $150 cleaning fee.

At Destin West, you can enjoy extreme water fun in the 5000-square-foot pool with a kiddie area, a 700-foot Lazy River, and a heated pool with a waterfall. The Heron building boasts its bayside pool that is heated year-round! Enjoy your view of the Choctawhatchee Bay, while the kids enjoy the lazy river. Cross over the sky bridge to the Gulf beaches without worrying about traffic. Charcoal grills and picnic tables on both the bayside and beachside make grilling out inviting and fun. Destin West guests can also enjoy access to the pools, bars, and restaurants located at the Island Beach Resort at Destin West beachside with the purchase of day passes. Destin West guests must go to the Island Beach Resort front desk for passes. Day passes are $25/person per day.

Relax on the beaches of The Gulf of Mexico while sipping a frozen concoction prepared at our outdoor bar upstairs at The Crab Trap, stroll the boardwalk and visit Islanders Coastal Outfitters for new beach attire, or grab a frozen snack from Pino Gelato. When day turns to night, Al’s Beach Club is our premier club and burger bar. Hungry? We've got that covered as well! Grab some fresh from the Gulf seafood from any of our great beachfront restaurants located directly on The Boardwalk!

We had a wonderful time at this property! The hot tub on the roof gave stunning views of the bay side and gulf side. The lazy river was a huge hit and walkability to the beach was priceless. Highly recommend this property!

The property was amazing!! However, please keep in mind that for six days and 4 guests, they only provided two rolls of toilet paper and if you don’t have a vehicle, you’ll have to Uber to the nearest grocery store. Also, compared to the surrounding units, this one was very scarce. There was only a tiny bar top table with two chairs on the balcony and on the rooftop, there was zero seating, while others had tables and chairs, and even grills and pool floaties to use. Also, there was no complimentary beach chairs provided with this rental. So keep in mind that to rent 2 chairs and 1 umbrella it’s $55 per day for 3 hours. There were a couple male guests that were extremely rude to my biracial children!! Upon arriving, an elderly man flipped off my 12 year old daughter when she was standing on the balcony. Another man around 55 years old told my 16 year old he’d punch him in the face for being near him in the lazy river. So other than the bigoted guets, it was pretty enjoyable.

We really enjoyed our stay! The room was clean and having a full size kitchen makes vacationing more affordable. Also having a washer/dryer was very convenient. RealJoy was promt in answering any of our questions that we had. Loved having access to all the pools, the beach is beautiful, and the enjoyed its close proximity to the Boardwalk. The lazy river is our favorite so being on the bay side made for easy access. Destin West is our favorite place to vacation!
