Come see why Pelican #302 is the place to be! This is a spacious 1BR/2BA condo at the complex within Destin West Beach and Bay Resort with rustic Tuscan themed décor. The unit features a king bed in the master bedroom with an en suite bathroom, a hall twin over a twin bunk bed, and a living room sleeper sofa to comfortably sleep up to 6 guests. For your convenience, we have a washer and dryer in the unit. Enjoy the 3rd-floor balcony that offers great views of the lazy river. When you're not enjoying a day at the beach, relax by the 5000 sq ft lazy river pool. Come start making memories at Pelican #302!

Snowbird Season runs from November thru February. For a quote, select an arrival date (must be the 1st day of the month) and a departure date (must be the 1st day of a subsequent month). Contact us for alternate date requests and further assistance! All monthly rentals are subject to an additional $150 cleaning fee.

At Destin West, you can enjoy extreme water fun in the 5000-square-foot pool with a kiddie area, a 700-foot Lazy River, a heated pool with a waterfall, or one of two hot tubs. The Heron building boasts its bayside pool that is heated year-round! Enjoy your view of the Choctawhatchee Bay, while the kids enjoy the lazy river. Cross over the sky bridge to the Gulf beaches without worrying about traffic. Charcoal grills and picnic tables on both the bayside and beachside make grilling out inviting and fun. Destin West guests can also enjoy access to the pools, bars, and restaurants located at the Island Beach Resort at Destin West beachside with the purchase of day passes. Destin West guests must go to the Island Beach Resort front desk for passes. Day passes are $25/person per day.

Welcome to The Boardwalk! We are located directly on The Gulf of Mexico, on the beaches of beautiful Okaloosa Island! The Boardwalk is your one-stop destination for fun, day and night! Relax on the beaches of The Gulf of Mexico while sipping a frozen concoction prepared at our outdoor bar upstairs at The Crab Trap, stroll the boardwalk and visit Islanders Coastal Outfitters for new beach attire, or grab a frozen snack from Pino Gelato. When day turns to night, Al’s Beach Club is our premier club and burger bar. Hungry? We've got that covered as well! Grab some fresh from the Gulf seafood from any of our great beachfront restaurants located directly on The Boardwalk!

Real Joy and the condo was great, very clean, and had everything we needed however I had a few issues with the facility. Me and my family have been coming to Destin West for years and the grounds were always kept up really well. This time the seeds from the palm trees we’re erywhere in the lazy river, somebody needs to pull weeds around the lazy river and pool, and the room/balconies would need to be pressure washed from the green slim. Also, the gentleman Dave, that walks around during the day, that sits in the office, was really rude to us I agree that we did have drink cups in the river without lids but he did not have to raise his voice to us and point us out in front of everyone that we needed to get out of the pool. We are all adults not children and it wasn’t just us that had something to drink. The condo was wonderful we enjoyed our stay and I will be back to book with Real Joy again. Thanks again

Convenient

Everything we needed to have a great stay was right at our fingertips. Lazy river, pools, hot tub, beautiful beach, restaurants, The Publix...everything close by. There was so much we could have done, but we just enjoyed the resort and its amenities! I have stayed at many places but check in here was so easy! Lovely vacation!

This was our 5th time staying at Destin West Beach and Bay and we enjoy it each time. This particular condo was just like the other 1 bedroom plus bunk room condos we have stay at here in the past. The only reason I gave 4 stars for cleanliness was because the floors were a little dirty but I know at the beach and with so many people in and out, that’s hard to control. They need to replace the pull out couch mattress in the living room because it’s extremely thin and uncomfortable and I could not sleep on it like planned, but luckily some of my kids did instead. The location is great proximity to the lazy river and pools on the bay side. There is somewhat of a view of the bay which was nice and I enjoyed watching some boats on the porch. The condo was cute and had everything we needed, although it would be nice to have like one pots worth of coffee to make for us tired parents who haven’t made it to the store yet! It’s a short walk over to the beach and was not very busy.

Perfect Family Vacation

It was a treat to stay at Destin West Bayside. I didn’t feel crowded by other guests because of the different options of pools, hot tubs, and lazy river. The bay provided a beautiful backdrop, and the beach is an easy walk across the street using the sky bridge. Pelican 302 was clean and comfortable.

Wonderful stay at Destin West. The lazy river and choice of pools really is beneficial in unpredictable Gulf weather and beach conditions. Yellow flags? Not at the lazy river!
Beautiful view of the resort, great amenities. The condo has everything you need, but if you feel you will need to use more than one fill of the trash can, you will need to provide your own trash bags as there is only the one it starts with. Plenty of laundry detergent and everything else you would need for a great vacation!

Great get-away

Our stay was well-deserved and greatly enjoyed. Me and my friends have all had issues in the past couple of months and we so needed this getaway for peace of mind, rest and relaxation. We got to check in about an hour and a half earlier, which was great. We had only one issue however, the air conditioning wasn’t working properly..However, RealJoy was on top of the issue in getting it fixed. we had great feedback and communication with the RealJoy property management. We even extended our extended our stay by one day, we were offered as discount for the extra day, so why not stay!! All in all a great time was spent by us all…

Destin West is a beautiful resort! It’s a perfect destination for families with young children. The view is beautiful. The balcony overlooks the pools and the lazy river. The beach is absolutely beautiful with white powdery sands and emerald green water. My kids loved the pools and the beach! We didn’t want to leave.
