Captain's Cottage

We had a wonderful experience! The bikes were super handy and were perfect to shorten the walk to the beach. The hour was perfect for our family of 5 - we had plenty of room to spread out around the house, the loft with the TV upstairs was a great kids area, and we made good use of the Florida porch in the back. Definitely a beautiful home and beautifully decorated!

We love this Watersound house and neighborhood. With 30A being so crowded these days, it’s the perfect little piece of private, chill paradise where you can connect with nature and your family. 10/10, would definitely recommend!

The place is beautiful and is a great location off 30A. The only downfall is the location is at the front of the neighborhood and far from the beach and pool. The bikes definitely helped and extra parking at the pool allows you to drive and park. The home was in great shape and perfect for our family of four.

Great location! The host was great and responsive. Fit our party great. One thing to be aware of is that you cannot rent golf carts in this community. We are not aware and then rented one and had to remove it from the rental. Great boardwalk to the beach that you can ride bikes down to. Quick drive to Seaside and other great restaurants/attractions.

We loved our stay at Captain’s Cottage. Very cozy and clean. The beds are super comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. Loved the location of the house. It’s in close proximity to a lot of restaurants I loved walking the boardwalks throughout the neighborhood that not only lead to the pool but also the beautiful beach! The pool was nice and it was warm. Highly recommend.

I love this area and this neighborhood! Very easy beach access and pool access! Only thing was the codes were not up to date so we were not able to get into the pool the first day. They were able to get us the correct code the following day. Otherwise this was a fantastic stay and we will be back!

The location is quiet, comfortable and well-maintained. The house was very clean and the towels and bedding were superior. Access was easy and communication was excellent. The house was lovely and we loved the location and how quit and secluded it was from the rest of town!
The house had enough space and loved all of the balconies. The walk to the beach is a bit far, but a beautiful view and it’s not very crowded. Would definitely stay here again!

We absolutely loved our stay and definitely will be back again next year! This home was gorgeous, and the neighborhood was next level. Between the pool, the private beach, and the trails, there was always something to do. The walk to the beach was breathtaking and being able to come home and cook in that beautiful kitchen was a huge plus! We throughly enjoyed coffee in the morning on the porch swing and our son loved hanging out and reading on the bunk beds in the kids room. Be sure to check out the Old Florida Fish House down the street, we had a blast there as well!

We love this neighborhood. We’ve stayed here several times. It’s a short walk (maybe .25 from the pool area) to a private beach. The neighborhood is next to a nature reserve so the beach is much less crowded than other areas. The home was great! It was well stocked with almost kitchen appliance and tool, which is much appreciated when traveling with kids!

We absolutely loved our stay at Captain's Cottage! The location in WaterSound West was quiet & very family oriented and was great for us as it’s right between Grayton Beach and Panama City Beach but without feeling the hustle & bustle of the other tourists. This was our first time visiting the 30-A area but we had such a great stay here we will definitely be coming back soon!
The house itself is very large with and spacious with comfy couches, cozy beds, beautiful beachy decor & feels like a home. We were able to connect to the Roku smartTV in the living room and use our favorite apps for our little ones favorite morning shows. We also took full advantage of the large screened porch which was perfect for our 2 & 3 year old, they particularly loved the swing. We spent tons of time during our week long stay at the beach and two days at the WaterSound West pool. The beach access & boardwalk are beautiful & there was tons of public space to sprawl out on the beach. I also highly recommend visiting Inlet Beach public access while you’re staying, we loved it for our littles as the waves were much smaller & more kid friendly and there were lots of other kiddos there for them to play with. We also loved riding around the area on the four bikes provided by Captain’s Cottage and even ventured up to Seaside Beach & Seaside Central Square on them. We did have a bit of a problem checking in with our door access code but RealJoy responded super quickly to my message and fixed the problem within about 10 minutes & it was smooth sailing from there. Overall, we would highly recommend staying at Captain’s Cottage in WaterSound West and look forward to staying here again in the very near future.
