Beautiful one bedroom with nice kitchen and living room area. Short walk to the beach. What I loved most was this was an old hotel, in fact, I remember driving past it as a kid during our yearly vacations to the beach. So it was just one story, as a result the beachfront was never crowded, unlike our neighbors. We used the grill one night, cooked in, ate out as we saw fit. Also, could not have asked for nicer guests, many of whom were relaxing in the shade provided by umbrellas at the entryway to the beach.Our place also had an umbrella and two chairs provided near the waterline. Very convenient.A little confusion on entering but fortunately a man at the front desk had stayed late and helped us enter. Some questions about the plumbing were answered quickly. My only real disappointment had nothing to do with Capri by the Gulf. We wanted to visit the nearby Henderson State Park. When we got there a park ranger gently explained to us that we would need to make reservations. I found out later, when looking online, they were booked until August. It’s a very popular place for good reason.No big pool, no gym - if you want that, go for it. We wanted a simple stay at the beach and that’s what we got. It was actually the most relaxing vacation we’ve had in years. Definitely will be back.

Excellent stay! The property was very clean (I don't know how they get rid of all that powdery sand), well-maintained, and exactly as described. The area was great—convenient (only a few steps from the private beach), safe (gated), and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay again! I wish the rooms could accommodate more people because I plan to return with my entire family!

We appreciate that the owner of Capri 105 has the unit updated. It's so very nice. The cold weather surprised all of us including someone's water pipe. Luckily, the water was only turned off for half a day. Real joy was quick to offer anything we might need during this outage.

What i liked most? The property is one floor, vintage but totally updated. We stayed in unit 105 and it was so clean. Plenty of linens. So quiet, peaceful and relaxing. We chose to go late January so our crowd was older and we loved it. I'm glad we chose the unit we did because the morning sun was behind us so we could enjoy coffee outside in the wonderful Adirondack type chairs provided. Appreciated the gates that kept unwanted visitors out. Can't wait to book again!

We had a very nice day Apri 105. The condo was very clean and everything was updated and decorated perfect for the beach. It was the perfect size for us. We loved the short walk to the beach and having the chairs and umbrella. We look forward to staying at this unit again next September.

I stayed in unit 105 which was beautifully remodeled and spotlessly clean. The bed was super comfortable and I loved being just steps from the beach. I also loved sitting out on the deck and I made some new friends out there whom I had a great time with. The faucet on the bathroom sink is hooked up backwards....hot is to the right and cold left. Not a big deal once I figured it out. I will be back. The staff was great when I needed them and Capri may not look like much from the beach but it is a gem!

Our stay was just like I thought it was going to be! Great! The first time we stayed at the Capri, was in the early 1970's. We have stayed at the Capri lots of times over the years! I shared a postcard from the 1960's with the lady in the office. We will be returning later this fall!

Love the gated rentals with private beach access. The short walk to the beach made this rental a perfect choice for us. The umbrella covered sitting area for morning coffee or evening cocktails was nice as well. Close to everything - grocery stores, shopping, restaurants, etc. would highly recommend to anyone.

We have been blessed to travel to Destin every year since 1987. Quite a few years ago, we found the Capri and we haven't considered staying anywhere else since. This year we rented three units together so our Children and Grandchildren could be right next to us. We have never been disappointed with the Capri for any reason. We kind of hope the word doesn't get out about this well-kept secret of a Home away from Home. We want to make sure our Unit we rent every year is available. We are already planning our next trip.

This was my family’s 4th year vacationing in Destin while staying at Capri by the Gulf. We love the beautiful area and beach’s. Sisters weekend. This cute little unit was perfect for the 2 of us! Could hear the ocean which was right outside our door. We had everything we needed in a great location. Sadly the weather did not cooperate but thankfully the outlet mall right down the road.

If you want to stay at a clean, inexpensive, low key condo then Capri is for you! I honestly cannot think of anything that was a negative for us but if I had to mention one it would be the mattress on the pull out bed was very thin but our kids layered it with blankets and slept perfectly, on the last day we found the egg crate pad in the closet-lol :) We have always stayed at the larger complexes and though we loved them this was like a home away from home and it was never crowded. We had an umbrella and chairs set up everyday (right in front of the crystal clear waves, not rows behind it!)and they are included with the price of the condo. The beach was never crowded, my kids could run and play comfortably. The only part some families may not like is the fact they have no pool, this was no problem for us as we are beach bums and never get in a pool since we can do that anytime at home. This place is perfect, you walk out your front door and are steps from the beach, no elevators or waiting in lines. We made friends with the other families/owners and felt a welcoming sense of community at Capri that is not common at larger resorts. We hope to keep coming back to Capri for years to come, and thank you to all the kind, helpful staff we encountered during our amazing trip!

We had a wonderful four night stay and are already planning our next. We enjoyed that it was an adult/family rental so it was peaceful. We had ocean front private beach access with chair service daily. There were all living essentials readily available in our room.
