This place was perfect for my large family (9 adults, 1 baby)!Real joy was very responsive from the moment I booked this place. They sent recommendations for restaurants, things to do on rainy and sunny days to make our stay even more enjoyable. This community was top notch. 10 minute walk to the beach, a very big community pool and an ice cream truck that came around daily. I highly recommend this place for big families, with three levels we never got too crowded. There’s a grill and beach toys, chairs and umbrella, and a wagon for you to use. They even have a shuttle that will take you to the beach if you don’t want to walk. Love this place and will save it for the next family trip to Destin!

We really enjoyed the home, it was very spacious and clean. Neighborhood was quiet and loved pool area, the beach was close by, walking distance. Loved the master suite, it was like a studio apartment. The multiple sitting areas and the 2 balconies were a plus. It was great for having our family together with all three of our grand babies for the first time. We will most definitely book again in the future.

This was our first big family trip and A-Wave-Away was the perfect home for our stay. We had 14 of us and there was plenty of room for everyone. This home had everything we needed and more. Just steps from a big beautiful pool that the kids loved more than the beach! Communication with the property manager was quick and wonderful. We so enjoyed our time here. We truly had the most wonderful experience staying here! From the moment we walked in, we could tell this home was something special. It was incredibly clean, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully set up to accommodate a large family like ours. There was plenty of room for everyone — the kids had space to play and unwind, and the adults could relax without feeling crowded.
The location was perfect. We were close to all the activities we wanted to do, yet the neighborhood was peaceful and felt like a real retreat. It was such a gift to be able to come “home” after a fun day out and enjoy a quiet evening together.

Overall the house is great for a large family or multiple families coming together. It’s 1 block away from the community pool which was great for kids. There was lots of seating and space. The beach is about a 10 minute walk. Definitely need a wagon to carry any beach gear but doable even with littles. The location is a short drive to all the major restaurants and retails. Loved that the community is gated and overall peaceful.

The house is large enough for my family of 11. Only a short walk from Crystals Beach (15 minutes or so) or take advantage of the shuttle service and you’re there in no time . Kitchen is well stocked and the kids loved the community pool. All in all a great property!!

We had a group of 14 and had a ton of room! The house is in a good location. We loved the pool and shuttle service to the beach, but wished it went later than 4:30. We were also surprised the house didn’t have an outside hose to prevent tracking sand inside.

We rented this house with some friends and we had family come in from Louisiana. The kids had the entire 3rd floor to themselves. It was a dream! The beach pickup/drop off was easy to arrange and the beaches are gorgeous!

We stayed here a week and loved every minute of it.
They forgot to send the code to the door but I called and they solved it very quickly.
This place is in the middle of Destin and close to everything.
The only downside is almost every beach near here is private.
We still made it work and had a great stay.
Would recommend to anyone.
Also would recommend getting a pontoon and going to crab island.
We have 4 kids and they had just as much fun as all of the adults.

Although we didn’t need RealJoy’s assistance while on property, they were always reaching out to make sure everything was good. You would even see them driving through the neighborhood. Property was nice and in a good neighborhood and location. Easy walk to the beach.

We had 15 in our party, 7 adults and 8 kids, and it was a good fit, some kids slept on the couch in the 3rd story living room, but, that was perfectly fine. The house was well equipped, and we had a great time. the only things that i would recommend you bring is some trash bags, toilet paper, and soap (dishwasher/handsoap) beyond that it was well stocked (although no condiments/spices etc) which was to be expected. I have to say the 2nd story master bed matress was rather uncomfortable, its due for a replacement. but other then that. great house at a reasonable price.
