30A Sunshine Shack is a 5-bedroom, 3.5-bath home in Highland Parks, located in laid-back Blue Mountain Beach, with the delicious Blue Mountain Beach Creamery nearby, offering homemade scoops, and within walking distance to shops in RedFish Village. The spacious kitchen boasts all stainless steel appliances and an eat-in bar. You will love mornings on the front patio and chasing the sunset from the balcony in the evenings. You'll create lifelong memories on the private back patio complete with a dining table and grill. With a king bed in both the master bedrooms, an additional king guest bedroom, a full guest bedroom, a twin bunk bed, and a twin bed with a twin trundle in another guest bedroom, this lovely home can sleep a total of 12 guests. Two of these bedrooms are also on the main floor, making your stay even more convenient. Come add a little 30A Sunshine Shack to your life!

Take one of the 4 bikes provided and ride the bike trails down to Seaside, Watercolor, or Grayton Beach. Out the back of the home, head down Longleaf Pine Greenway hiking/biking trail 0.6 miles and dip your toes in the sugar sands of Blue Mountain Beach. Highland Parks is the newest neighborhood in Blue Mountain Beach, featuring a fantastic neighborhood pool with a waterfall, hot tub, gazebo, fire pit, snack bar, and observation tower. The area is the highest point in South Walton County and is surrounded by great eateries and local, eclectic shops. Highland Parks is perfectly situated between Redfish Village and Gulf Place Town Center on Hwy 30A! Enjoy dining at local favorites: Redfish Taco, Blue Mabel, Shunk Gulley, The Grove 30A, The Perfect Pig, Local Catch, or Basmati's. Check out the local art scene at Justin Gaffery’s art gallery.

AREA ATTRACTIONS:

Seaside is a fantastic destination, most widely known for being featured in The Truman Show with Jim Carrey. Its incredible architecture has helped to make it famous, but also its faithful replication of the kind of seaside town that used to be common up and down the coast. Seaside has its own Farmer's Market, post office, Repertory Theater, and neighborhood school. It boasts unique shopping, fantastic cuisine, and the incredible architecture that makes Seaside famous. There are activities for everyone; kayak rentals, bike rentals, paragliding, fishing, golfing, hiking, swimming, tennis -- you'll find it all right here.

Bike over to Blue Mountain Beach Creamery for some homemade scoops that will have your taste buds coming back! You'll have an array of dining options to choose from!

The snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Sea Turtle Reef, deployed in 2017. Located just 783 feet out from the Grayton Beach State Park access, it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Sea Turtle Reef is at a depth of 12-19 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy!

Fantastic family vaca in 30A

We LOVED our stay at Sunshine Shack. The kitchen was well stocked. The AC worked great!! There are 3 full baths 1 powder room. We loved having 3 comfortable King Size beds and ample outdoor seating!! The pool is great and has golf cart parking space. We didn’t see it anywhere in the listing but we were able to park 3 cars in the driveway - including a large SUV. We would have loved to have a TV in the “kids room.” 2 of our young adults slept in there and that was a miss for them. The back door “sticks” quite a bit and the smoke alarm was super sensitive to the toaster. But those were entirely manageable. Communication through the app prior to arrival was not great. But once we connected with RealJoy property management, they were great. RealJoy was super responsive to our needs during our stay.We enjoyed meals at 3 Sons BBQ and Shunk Gulley. Delicious food at Mimos Italian where people dressed UP and DOWN. Reservations recommended for Mimos.We found beach access and space to be manageable but needed the golf cart due to distance. Super easy ride on the cart, though. Parking in Seaside was a real challenge for us. Recommend taking an Uber or having someone drop you off. My husband literally parked 1.5 miles away after dropping us off. But we had good food and lots of shopping opportunities there! We did a beach bonfire with Native and highly recommend it!! Brandon took great care of us!!Thanks for a great stay in 30A!!

Great house, wonderful amenities, perfect location!

Beautiful house in Blue Mountain Beach. Wonderful location; quiet neighborhood. We did not use the pool as the weather was somewhere that we spent everyday at the beach. House is well equipped for anything you could want and need! Love the convenience of having the 4 bikes that come with house rental, and I highly recommend adding the golf cart onto your rental. The house is too far from the beach to not need it! RealJoy , the management service, was very communicative and easy To get in touch with .

Glad to say it was a 5 Star vacation experience. One issue was the super sensitive kitchen smoke alarm. It went off a couple of times when lightly cooking toast. Fortunately it went off pretty quickly when opening the doors and fanning the smoke alarm.

Great Fall Beach Trip!

Property was as advertised. The cleanliness was what you’d expect to get from nice hotels, so had clean linens and towels. Would definitely recommend for large families looking for a beach vacation.

Great Family Setting

The property was great. The cleaning could have been a little better as we found hair in the bathroom, slow draining tub and some cigarette butts outback..other than that the place was perfect. Also they only provided 1 towel per person and no spare toilet paper rolls.

If you had let us know during your stay, we would have sent someone to unclog the tub and pick up the cigarette butts out back. They also could have brought more towels. You should have gotten an email prior to your arrival letting you know that we provide starters of kitchen and bathroom essentials and that you should plan to bring these items from home or purchase them once you get here. This place feels bigger than the pictures. We went with 4 teenagers, 6 adults, and 1 toddler and had plenty of private and communal spaces… we all were able to eat around the table thanks to the folding chairs provided in the closet! There was plenty of space to store our food in the cabinets so nothing had to sit out.
The cleaning crew wasn’t thorough and they are slow to get a tech out if you have a problem, however the reps are all very quick to communicate on the phone and via text. The washer wasn’t working when we first arrived so they brought over fresh towels twice, which was helpful.
It’s further from the beach and pool than the listing let’s on, but that probably wouldn’t be noticed as much in lower temperature months. When it’s 100 degrees, you’re toting all of your beach gear (they don’t provide a wagon), and trying to make sure the toddler doesn’t get run over on the busy street - that 20 minute walk feels like an eternity. Out of a 6 day stay we could only muster enough energy to walk to the beach 1 time and drove to other beaches on the other days because it was just easier. The beach is VERY busy with a private beach on either side of the entrance that you have to walk through to set your stuff up. It’s also hard to ride bikes there because part of the path is on sand and there are roots sticking up…
The pool is gorgeous but you will have to walk (or push your bike) because the hill is so incredibly steep that no kid (or normal adult) can make it up the hill on a bike and there is no parking at the pool.
Overall, I think the cost for the headache of different location issues isn’t worth it, however, we booked last minute and they were probably one of the best available. In the future, we won’t stay here again tho, we’ll try to book in advance and stay closer to the beach.

Perfect for our family of 7!

This was our first time to the area and this property was exactly what we wanted and needed. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out (with 5 kids ages 9-16 this was super impt!) but plenty of space to hang all together as well. Immaculately clean and decorated just enough - beachy without being tacky lol. Easy walk to the pool and beach access was a breeze. We really enjoyed our stay here!

Loved the stay here, house had everything you need to enjoy a weeks back vacation. Very close to beach access by car or bike. Very comfortable beds, and plenty of space for 9 people in our group. Only thing not supplied were beach towels. Pool was very nice as well!

Just what we needed

House we perfect for hosting two families with kids. New, clean and well stocked. Easy enough access to Blue Mnt Beach but a great pool area for days where you need a break. All in all this is what you would want in a VRBO.
