Emerald Dunes is a low-rise, beachfront condominium complex located in Crystal Beach. With a private gated entrance and direct beach access, this is the ideal getaway for families or couples. Amenities include gated beach access, a seasonally heated community pool, hot tub, and a grilling area. Emerald Dunes is conveniently located nearby to Henderson State Park, less than a mile from Destin Commons, and within walking distance to some of the best restaurants in Destin like Camille’s at Crystal Beach! There is truly something for everyone at Emerald Dunes!

Area Attractions:

Close by is Destin Commons, a beautifully landscaped, pedestrian-friendly area and a great family venue where children will love to play in the interactive water fountains. Also for the younger guests, a nautically/pirate themed outdoor playground features a 1,750 square foot soft play area with various creatures from the sea, slides, and a treasure chest! Destin Commons also has a mini-train for the kids. Destin Commons features over 75 shops and restaurants, including Godiva Chocolates, AMC Movie Theaters and Bass Pro Shop.

Nearby are 6 miles of paved trails - perfect for both walking or biking. Pretty, unspoiled, Henderson Beach State Park is also close by.

If you are near Miramar Beach, the snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Dolphin Reef, deployed in 2017. Located just 685 feet straight out from the Miramar Regional Public Beach access (by Pompano Joe's), it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Dolphin Reef is at a depth of 12-20 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy!

Beach Front with great views

Very clean upgraded modern 2 story condo. Lots of places for people to sleep. Had a couple issues while there but RealJoy the company who takes care of the condo, was very responsive in handling concerns. Thanks for a great stay.

Our family of 9 (6 adults and 3 kids under 9) just spent a lovely week at the condo. Everyone slept great on very comfortable mattresses - always something I look for in an Airbnb. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware and dishes. Be prepared to bring your own spices and condiments. Another dish towel or two would be a nice addition. RealJoy was very responsive whenever I reached out with questions. Our large group was very comfortable the entire week and look forward to another visit in the future!

Nice relaxing private beach access along with a nice pool and hot tub! Beautiful view of the ocean out our condo windows! Clean comfortable accommodations ! Wonderful place to stay with our kids and grandkids!

The views can’t be beat at this lovely condo. The beach is amazing out front. The ocean has a fun sandbar to play in. You can walk the beach a long ways both directions. FYI, no clocks in any of the bedrooms. Plenty of extra blankets and fans in each room too. Well stocked kitchen appliances but be sure to bring extra trash bags, TP, dishwasher pods, paper towels, etc. Not a lot of restaurants are walkable but a ton are drivable. Check out McGuire’s Irish Pub!!

Great view

Great view and access to the beach. The young adults in our group enjoyed the hot tub. I suggest a grip bar for the lower level showers. 80 year and up did not feel comfortable without grip bars.

Perfect vacay as always!

30th year coming to Destin & Always Amazing clear warm water and white sugar sand. This property was great with the 4 bedrooms & 4 bathrooms. Everyone had their own. Kitchen was surprisingly well equipped. With other properties in the past we would have to bring our own pans/knives/glassware.

December destination wedding stay

We had a wonderful stay in this condominium. Although the wedding was at The Henderson, the walk there was reasonable. Several of my siblings traveled down and the bed configuration worked well for our family. We love Crystal Beach and will definitely keep this property in mind for future rentals.

Annual Family Vacation

Lovely beach vacation spot.

Very Nice Rental. Spacious bedrooms, Fully stocked kitchen. We were three families and enjoyed our vacation. Wish we would have had access to the bathrooms by the pool for convenience. We didn’t receive codes. I called and spoke to real joy customer service but never got a return call. Overall great experience.

Great stay

The 505 is a very clean condo with a great view. A bathroom for each bedroom was perfect, the washer and dryer are so nice that we ended up purchasing the same one for our house! The pool was under maintenance so it was closed for our whole stay, though that wasn't a problem for us, but I could see where that would be an issue for others. After multiple calls and attempts we never did get the free umbrella and two beach chairs. Real Joy was a pleasure to work with, but it seems like there were communication issues between the owner and the beach rental place. Overall I would stay at the 505 again, it is a very nice, clean and spacious condo.

This was the best place we have ever stayed. I would 100% recommend this condo. It was so clean! The location was absolutely perfect! The views from inside were incredible! I have nothing negative to say. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. We will be back!

Family Beach Trip

We loved the location and proximity to restaurants and grocery store. The access to the beach was great, easy enough for older members of our group to enjoy the gorgeous beach. The unit was clean and well stocked. It seemed to be well insulated, we did not hear neighbors or anyone moving around. Having 4 bedrooms and 4 baths was perfect for our group. We were disappointed that the pool was not on the beach side of the building, as we thought based on the pictures. We had a problem with the pantry shelves falling, but we worked around that. Suggestion for Emerald Dunes property owner, the pathway lighting from the parking area could be improved. It was difficult to see at night.

Will Return!

Although their were a few hiccups with the checkin process and the cable wasn’t working for part of our stay, the condo itself and beach were perfect! Our family loved it and will definitely return to this condo again. The property manager was easy to get in touch with and always responsive!

Emerald Dunes 505

Amazing property located at the beach. Beach service available on private beach. Rooms are big and very comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies, but you will have to buy everyday supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags etc. Overall I would recommend.
